Privacy Policy

Chip & Split ("the app") is a poker chip tracking app. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.

What We Collect

We only collect what's needed to run the app:

• Account info — email address (via Google or Apple Sign-In), display name, and a randomly generated friend code.
• Game history — date, room code, number of buy-ins, net result (in dollars), session duration, and player count for each game you play.
• Friends — the list of users you've added as friends and the status of friend requests.
• Preferences — settings like your game alias, name effect toggle, and stats visibility.
• Subscription status — whether you have an active Pro subscription and when it started.
• Room sessions — temporary room data (player names, buy-ins, chip counts) stored while a game is in progress. Rooms are automatically deleted after 7 days.

We do not collect real money amounts, payment card details, location data, contacts, photos, or any data unrelated to the app.

How We Use It

• To display your stats and game history
• To connect you with friends and show their performance trends (only if they opt in)
• To restore your Pro subscription across devices
• To pre-fill your name when joining rooms

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the services listed below.

Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase — authentication, real-time room data, user profile storage, and app hosting. Firebase Privacy

• Google Sign-In — optional sign-in method. Google Privacy

Data Retention

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. Room session data is deleted automatically after 7 days. If you delete your account, all your data (profile, game history, friend relationships) is permanently deleted immediately.

Your Rights

• Access — your data is visible to you in the app (stats, friends).
• Delete — use "Delete Account" in Settings to permanently remove all your data.
• Correct — update your display name and alias anytime in Settings.
• Opt out of stats sharing — turn off "Share stats with friends" in Settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
